A 70-year-old man was airlifted to hospital Tuesday after his pickup truck collided with a fully loaded dump truck just west of Elora.
It happened around 1:30 p.m. on 8th Line West near Wellington County Road 18.
OPP say the driver of the pickup was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital by an Ornge Air Ambulance.
His injuries are described as serious but not life-threatening.
The driver of the dump truck had minor injuries.
The force of the collision flipped the pickup onto its roof.
The dump truck was left on the side of the road and in danger of tipping over.
The dirt in the back of the truck weighed approximately 35,000 pounds.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
