A 24-year-old London man is facing charges for careless driving and failing to report a crash.
On Saturday morning police say a black pickup truck hit a light standard and hydro pole at Wharncliffe Rd. S. and Base Line Rd. E.
The crash knocked out the power to a number of traffic lights on Wharncliffe between Commissioners Road East and Emery Street for a few hours.
The driver then fled the scene but was located by police around 8:00 am.
