The Kitchener Rangers will be without their bench boss for an undetermined amount of time as he heads home to deal with a family matter.

In a social media post, the Rangers said Head Coach Jussi Ahokas has returned to Finland to attend to a family medical manner.

They said he will be away from the team for an unknown amount of time.

Ahokas has been serving as the Rangers head coach since July 2023.
