A 60 year-old man has died after being badly beaten while on the Iron Horse Trail in Kitchener. Waterloo Regional Police are investigating.
It happened just minutes before the clock struck midnight, when two men were walking on Iron Horse Trail near West Avenue in Kitchener when they were approached by two suspects. A fight broke out and as a result one of the men, a 60-year-old Kitchener resident has died.
The first suspect is a white male, 6' tall, in his late teens to early 20s with a very thin build. He had a shaved head and was wearing dark clothing.
The second suspect is a white male, 5'9" tall, also in his late teens to early 20s. He had short dark brown hair and was wearing dark clothing.
Insp.Greg Lamport of Waterloo Regional Police said the Kitchener man was pronounced dead at hospital after the fight.
