A Kitchener man is charged with dangerous driving causing death in connection with a fiery crash in Toronto which left his passenger dead.

The collision occurred July 2 on Queen’s Quay East.

According to Toronto Police, a 31-year-old Kitchener man lost control of his Porsche for undetermined reasons, and ended up hitting a building.

A 35-year-old woman riding as a passenger was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead 10 days later.

Police say they’re still piecing together the details of the collision and are looking to speak to anyone who witnessed it – including two men who showed up after the crash and removed the driver and passenger from the vehicle.

Joseph Kirkpatrick, 31, is charged with dangerous driving causing death and criminal negligence causing death.
