LONGUEUIL, Que. -- Heroux-Devtek Inc. has received a five-year contract extension from a commercial aircraft manufacturer that could be worth up to $100 million in orders for the Quebec-based aerospace company, a specialist in making landing gear.

Production for the orders will be mainly carried out at Heroux-Devtek's factories in Kitchener, Ont., and Laval, Que.

The company says the extention from the unidentified customer will span a five-year period from 2018 to the end of 2023.

It makes complex components for commercial and military customers from factories in Quebec, Ontario, the states of Ohio, Kansas, Washington and in the United Kingdom.
