Police continue to investigate a homicide in Six Nations.
A 911 call sent officers to a home on 6th Line Road, north of Ohsweken, on Wednesday.
John Francis Lickers Sr., 68, was found dead at the scene.
Arrested and charged with second-degree murder was 20-year-old Soh Gwa Yan Di Saws Styres.
Police have confirmed to CTV News that Lickers was found with multiple stab wounds, but say they’re not aware of any prior relationship between the victim and the accused.
“We’re unaware that they did know each other,” says Six Nations Police Const. Derrick Anderson.
The death of Lickers is the first murder in Six Nations since Tashina General was killed in 2008.
Police are not searching for any other suspects, but anyone with information is asked to contact authorities at 519-445-2811 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
