Twenty-seven years ago, human remains were found in a marsh area not far from Wallaceburg.

The skeletal remains – found with blue jeans, a shirt, size 8 ‘Winner’ running shoes that were blue and grey and had Velcro fasteners, and red-and-white striped sport socks – were found in a marsh area of Mitchell’s Bay, near Lake St. Clair in Dover Township, on March 23, 1987.

An autopsy found that the male victim had likely died from drowning,

The victim has never been identified, but a new examination suggests that he was black and in his mid-20s at the time, with a slight build.

OPP say he would have been between five feet and 5’7” tall.
