A house in Brantford has been destroyed in an explosion that also damaged three other homes in the area.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at 55 Ruffian Road around 2:30 p.m. on Thursday after multiple calls.
Officials say it took about an hour to get the fire under control, but there are no reported injuries so far.
The houses on either side of the explosion, as well as one across the street were also damaged in the blast.
The cause has not yet been determined and the investigation continues.
