Police are searching for a mystery driver after a car struck a tree in Guelph.
Officers were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash shortly after midnight Wednesday.
The owner of the vehicle was also at the scene, but he told police he was chasing the car after seeing it being driven away from his home by an unknown person.
Police say the 1999 Volvo sedan travelled only a short distance along Paisley Street before leaving the roadway and hitting a tree near Arnold Street.
