Waterloo Regional police say three people were held up at gunpoint Friday night.

The incident happened in the area of Ellis Crescent and Bridgeport Road.

Two men approached the trio and one of the suspects was holding a gun. Police say they demanded money from the group but when the victims refused the men took off running.

The first suspect is described as a black male, 15 to 18-years-old approximately 5'11". He was seen wearing black pants a black hoodie and a blue bandana over his face.

The second suspect is a white male, 15 to 18-years-old and is approximately  4’10" with short blonde hair. He was last seen wearing black pants and hoodie. 

Police are asking anyone with information on the attempted robbery to contact Crime Stoppers.
