An 11-year-old girl has died after being struck by a train in London, Ont. Police say the girl was on the tracks at Third Street near Dundas Street when she was hit by a westbound train around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

Victoria Moorish a neighbour says she knows the family and saw what happened shortly after the incident, “I saw her laying over there and they were trying to get her started making sure she was ok and I wasn't crying but i was at the stage where you wanted to cry and you couldn't stage.”

Anita Garnet says she can’t imagine the pain they are going through. “Very unfortunately my heart goes out to the parents I can't imagine what it would be like.”

The little girl was pronounced dead in hospital. Police have released few details about the incident, citing the ongoing investigation.   However, they say a coroner has ruled it an accidental death.
