How low can it go?

There seems to be no end in sight to the months-long plunge of gas prices across North America.

As of Wednesday afternoon, some Ontario gas stations had dropped their prices below 80 cents per litre.

According to gasbuddy.com, an outlet in Ohsweken had the lowest price in the province as of 1:15 p.m. – 78.9 cents per litre.

While prices in local urban centres aren’t quite that low, Tuesday night did see them break below 90 cents per litre for the first time in nearly five years.

Gasbuddy reported the Costco gas bar in Guelph as having the lowest price in Waterloo-Wellington, at 85.9 cents per litre, with stations in Cambridge, Aberfoyle and Ayr all selling gas for less than 87 cents per litre.
