TORONTO -- Environment Canada says things are expected to get a bit frosty in southern Ontario on Saturday night.
It's put out a "widespread" frost advisory stretching from Windsor to east of Ottawa.
Temperatures are set to drop down to the freezing mark or a few degrees below it.
Environment Canada says only communities near the Great Lakes can expect the thermostat to stay above zero.
Residents are advised to cover up plants and trees sensitive to the bite of frost.
It says temperatures are set to rise a few degrees by Sunday night, except for parts of eastern Ontario.
