A truck driver was taken to hospital Sunday afternoon after a freight train stuck the back of his transport truck at a controlled crossing near Rockwood.

OPP say the transport truck was stopped at Highway 7 and Wellington Road 29 when the train hit the trailer, pushing it to the side of the road.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The train was carrying lumber, petroleum gas and propane. OPP say there was no significant damage to the train and public safety is not at risk.

No charges have been laid.
