A former linebacker accused in the steroids scandal that brought down the University of Waterloo's football team has been found not guilty of selling banned drugs.

23-year-old Brandon Krukowski was accused of selling a performance enhancing steroid.

He was originally facing nine trafficking and possession charges, but eight of those charges were dropped.

The judge threw out the final charge yesterday, saying he believed Krukowski's claim that he was only selling a legal herbal supplement, not steroids.

Krukowski's former roommate, Nathan Zettler is still facing charges related to the scandal.
