INNISFIL, Ont. -- South Simcoe Police are investigating after a body was found inside a home in Innisfil early Saturday.
Investigators say they received a 911 call about a house being fully engulfed in flames just after 2 a.m.
When they arrived, they found a 53-year-old man who had tried to get into the home, which belonged to his 82-year-old father.
The son had to be taken to hospital for smoke inhalation.
The identity of the deceased has not been released.
It's unclear what caused the fire, but the home has been completely destroyed.
