The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is looking for the public's views on maple syrup.

Specifically, they want input on a federal government plan to standardize grades and labeling of maple syrup.

One of the proposals would require Grade A syrup that's sold in stores to be labeled according to four different colour and taste categories. Another proposal would remove restrictions on the size and shape of maple syrup containers.

Details of the proposals are available on the CFIA website.
