A man badly wounded in a train crash near Windsor that killed two of his four children is improving in hospital.

Authorities say Andrew Williams is now in serious -- but not critical -- condition.

Williams was at the wheel Sunday morning when a freight train struck the family minivan at a crossing in the community of Lakeshore.

Two of his daughters, six-year-old Wynter and three-year-old Brooklyn, were killed.

His son, four-year-old Dryden, is clinging to life in a Detroit hospital. The youngest, one-year-old Jasmyn, has been released from hospital.
