Each candidate was asked to submit a biography and answer three questions. Below is the response from the Pauper Party of Ontario's candidate for Kitchener-Waterloo, John Turmel.
1. Why should the constituents of Kitchener-Waterloo vote for you?
2. If you are elected as an MPP, what will your top two priorities be?
3. What do you think is the biggest challenge facing Ontarians?
The biggest challenge facing Ontarians is finding funding for government and industry. The Pauper Party of Ontario's two main priorities are to provide funding for all necessary services and repairs. Vote for John The Engineer Turmel because I know how to fund those repairs.
The Argentine Solution: Most heard that the Argentine banking system crashed in 2001 but most didn't hear all their foreign debt had been paid off by 2006. How'd they do that? The unions told their broke provincial governments: Pay us with small-denomination provincial bonds anyone can use to pay for HTML, HydroPower, Taxes, Medical and Licenses. Everyone in the provinces took the Bond Bucks, no lay-offs, more hiring, all foreign debt paid off in 5 years.
It was also used in the 1990s Russian banking system crash where 750 local and state governments paid their employees with bond bucks and 25,000 corporate currencies were accepted by other industries. Shell Shillings, MacDonalds Moolah, Canadian Tire Money.
Why don't Ontarians accept to take their raises in Ontario Provincial Bonds we can all use for Hydro, Taxes, Medical and Licenses too. Then anyone wanting a job doing useful work can be paid with government bonds! Full employment for those who want to work.
The LETS (Local Employment-Trading System) Creditos time-barter clubs that were half the Argentine Solution. When the official cash ran out, 7,000,000 members were saved by joining a timebarter network. Right now in Greek crash, the "TEMS" used by the LETS in Volos is the only good economic news. Wouldn't it be nice for the Ontario Government to run an online LETS barter timebank for its citizens too. It would be like a PayPal Ontario where people can buy in with VISA or a promise of hours of labor. And paid off with VISA or those hours of labor.
Further, our party will cut funding to policing victimless crime like gambling, prostitution or marijuana enforcement. Our party motto:
We want no cops in gambling, sex, or drugs or rock&roll, We want no interest on loans, pay cash or time, no dole. What a waste of money on enforcement of prohibitions of human wants. And what a waste of taxes to pay interest on loans of paper from banks when we could print up the paper ourselves and save all the interest like those Argentine provinces all did.
