Jury deliberations have begun at the first-degree murder trial of Terry Tremble.

Tremble is accused of killing his wife, Adrienne Roberts.

Roberts’ body was found in the basement of the couple’s Arthur home in October 2010. She had been hit on the head with a blunt weapon that was never found.

In the first three weeks of the trial, Crown witnesses testified that Tremble was unhappy with his marriage, particularly because Roberts wasn’t giving him access to their son Caleb.

Surveillance video showed a man who looked like Tremble driving what appeared to be his vehicle into a nearby parking lot, then returning to swap the vehicle for one that appeared to be Roberts’ hours before her body was discovered.

Defence lawyers did not call any witnesses, but argued that Tremble would have had insufficient time to commit the murder and clean himself up in the time window suggested by the Crown’s theory.

Jurors have been told they can also consider second-degree murder and manslaughter charges.

The jury was sent out Thursday at 10:25 a.m.
