Waterloo Regional Police say they seized nearly two pounds of crystal methamphetamine from a Kitchener home Tuesday morning.

During the early-morning hours, police executed a search warrant at the home, located on McGarry Drive near Fischer-Hallman Road.

Inside, they allegedly found 1.8 pounds of crystal meth – with an estimated street value of more than $30,000 – as well as $50,000 in cash.

Also found inside was nine pounds of a powder police were not able to identify. It has been sent to Health Canada for analysis.

Three people were arrested at the scene, although one woman was later released unconditionally.

The other two – a man and a woman, both of whom live in the home – face a variety of drug-related charges.
