Line 86 was closed near Wallenstein for much of Friday due to a two-vehicle crash.

The crash occurred around 10:15 a.m. Friday at Line 86 and Mallott Road, and ended with a tractor-trailer jackknifed across the road.

A passenger vehicle was also involved in the crash, although police weren’t initially sure of the exact sequence of events.

Police say weather played a part in the collision.

“There’s a lot of blowing snow … and the roads are very icy and slippery,” Waterloo Regional Police Acting Sgt. Steve Giovanniello said.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
