WATERLOO -- A Goderich man is dead after the motorcycle he was operating collided with a car in Wilmot Township Saturday.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at Notre Dame Drive and Berlett’s Road around 7:30 p.m.

The 45-year-old man driving the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene, while two people in the car suffered minor injuries.

The driver’s side of the car and debris from the motorcycle could be seen scattered across the road.

Police say speed is believed to be a contributing factor, but the investigation is ongoing.

The Traffic Services Unit has taken over the investigation.
