London police say 47 charges were laid against suspects across southwestern Ontario on Tuesday following a coordinated child porn investigation.

London Police, the OPP and Waterloo Regional Police were all involved in the investigation and arrests as part of the Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.

Charges include accessing, possessing, distributing, making available and producing child pornography, luring and various drug offences.

Five people from London have been arrested and charged including; Ian Twigg, 22, Douglas Weir, 64, Gilbert Gilbert, 44, Todd Wilson, 44 and a 15-year-old male.

Two others in Waterloo Region have been arrested and charged, including 35-year-old Marc Rempel and a 17-year-old male, both charged with possessing, accessing and distributing child pornography.
