A 22-year-old Belleville man is in custody, charged with luring and threatening a teenage girl in Chatham.
Chatham-Kent police say the man began texting the girl, 13, with sexually suggestive messages Friday afternoon.
The man allegedly threatened to burn down the complainant's home with her family inside if she didn't comply with his demands.
The girl's family contacted police who monitored the texts.
They traced the phone and arrested the man without incident.
He will be transferred to Chatham later this weekend, charged with luring and making threats to cause death.
