CHATHAM-KENT, Ont. - A man in southwestern Ontario is facing a bigamy charge after a woman told police he was married to not only her but also a second woman.

Police say their investigation started with a domestic-dispute call in Chatham-Kent back on Dec. 3.

They arrived to find a 33-year-old woman who told officers her husband -- who she was separated from -- had another wife on the side.

Police say the incident spurred a probe lasting nearly two months that ended with the arrest of a 42-year-old man on Thursday.

The man is charged with bigamy -- entering into a marriage when already married -- and uttering a forged document.

He is set to appear in court on Feb. 21.
