CHATHAM, Ont. - A Chatham-Kent Police officer will be sentenced next month for resisting a peace officer.

However, a jury found Thomas Andrew Brown not guilty of break and enter and assault.

A neighbour told the court Brown had shoved her against a wall, after entering her home uninvited to see his son two years ago.

Brown claimed some prescription medication had gone missing and he was worried the teen had ingested it.

The resisting arrest charge was laid when Brown was taken into custody later that evening.

Crown attorney David Foulds is seeking a 15-to-30 day jail sentence when Brown is sentenced Feb. 6.
