Alcohol may have been a factor in a collision that ended with a car nearly crashing into a house in northwest Waterloo, Waterloo Regional Police say.
Multiple vehicles were involved in the collision, which occurred around 1 p.m. Wednesday at Columbia Street and Zurich Drive.
One car allegedly went through a stop sign and hit a cement wall, then flew over a retaining wall and landed in the side yard of a house, right next to the home itself.
Also involved was a minivan which caught fire after the collision.
Witnesses to the collision said three people were taken to hospital. Police said nobody was seriously hurt.
