A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for the man suspected in connection with last Saturday’s deadly shooting near Clinton.

OPP say Boris Panovski, a 70-year-old Toronto resident, is wanted in connection with the death of Don Frigo.

“We have reason to believe that Panovski may be armed, and should be considered dangerous,” Det. Supt. Dave Truax said at a Friday morning news conference.

Frigo, 70, was shot dead while on horseback in the Hullett Wildlife Conservation Authority, north of Clinton, last Saturday.

At the time, he and his wife – who was also injured – were training hunting dogs.

Police describe Panovski as being 5’7” tall with brown hair and blue eyes, and weighing 200 pounds, but say he may have changed his appearance.

He was driving a blue 1998 Toyota four-door vehicle at the time of the shooting, police say, and was known to Frigo.

“Panovski is wanted for murder and one count of attempted murder,” Truax said.

Wednesday evening, police said, a number of items were taken from a residence in the Scarborough area of Toronto and sent for forensic examination in connection with the case.

Anyone who has information on Panovski’s whereabouts is asked to contact a dedicated OPP line at 1-844-278-4794 or their local police.
