The Supreme Court of Canada will announce on Thursday if it will hear an appeal of a publication ban in the Tori Stafford case.

Terry-Lynn McClintic and Michael Rafferty are charged with the kidnapping and first-degree murder of the Woodstock girl.

McClintic was scheduled to appear in court in April, but a temporary ban prevented the media from giving any further information.

In May, the judge in the case heard arguments to vary the ban, and delivered his decision

But one of the lawyers in the case decided to appeal the judge's decision, so the judge extended his original ban until the appeal request could be heard by the Supreme Court.
