A Cambridge man plans to buy a new boat and maybe some new fishing gear after winning a $1-million lottery prize.

Martin Jeschke won the prize in the April 1 Lotto 6/49 draw.

The 52 year old bought his ticket at the Zehrs on Holiday Inn Drive. When he went back to check the ticket, he first thought he had won $1,000.

“The words ‘Big Winner’ flashed on the screen (and) I was sure what was happening,” he said in an OLG press release.

“Once OLG called the store and the validation slip was printed, I realized I won.”

In addition to the boat and fishing gear, Jeschke says he plans to buy his mother a trip to Germany.
