A house fire in Cambridge Friday night has displaced ten people.

Cambridge fire department responded to reports of heavy smoke on Russ Street near Eagle Street around 8:30 p.m.

Fortunately all occupants of the home made it out safely, including the family dogs.

Waterloo Regional Police closed the road while Cambridge fire responded.

There is no word on the cause, but Cambridge firefighters say they don’t believe it is suspicious.

Damage is estimated at $250,000.
