An investigation is underway after a body was discovered near the University of Waterloo’s new campus in Stratford.

The body was found Monday afternoon by a group of people walking through the area beside the abandoned locomotive repair plant.

It’s reportedly that of a white male, aged 20-30, but no additional details are being released.

Streets in the area were closed for a number of hours as police investigated, but the scene was released shortly before 6 p.m.

The body has been sent to the London Health Sciences Centre for a post mortem examination.

The investigation continues in an effort to rule out foul play.
