Dozens of barrels removed from a barn on Dellen Millard’s North Dumfries farm property last week have no connection to the disappearance of Laura Babcock, police tell CTV News.
Toronto Police spent the entire week at the Roseville Road farm, searching for evidence relating to the disappearance of Babcock, who was last seen in July 2012.
Action at the farm picked up last Friday, when an OPP urban chemical response team was called in to examine 54 barrels found inside the barn.
The barrels, some of which were metal and some of which were plastic, were a variety of sizes and contained varying amounts of material.
Police have said Babcock and Millard had an unusual romantic relationship.
Millard is one of two men charged with first-degree murder in the death of Ancaster resident Tim Bosma, whose burnt remains were found on the same property.
Police would not say if they found any evidence on the farm requiring further testing, but officers were seen removing a number of items from the property.
