The Pte. Tyler W. Todd tournament was held in Plattsville over the Easter weekend.
Around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, organizers sent out a Facebook message that the missing flags had been recovered in a ditch between New Hamburg and Tavistock.
Artist Dave Sopha, whose “Portraits of Honour” oil painting pays tribute to the 158 Canadian soldiers who lost their lives in Afghanistan, is a regular attendee of the event.
Organizers said three of the 158 Canadian flags that Sopha brought to the event were taken over the weekend.
Each flagpole bears a name of one of the 158 soldiers.
