Closing arguments are underway in the dangerous offender hearing for Renee Acoby at the Superior Court in Kitchener.
Lawyers began their final submissions Monday morning.
Acoby has been involved in a number of violent incidents in Canadian prisons, including a hostage-taking at Kitchener's Grand Valley Institution for women.
She was also involved in forcible confinement incidents at prisons in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Quebec and Nova Scotia.
Earlier in the hearing, Acoby told the court she has been trying hard to control herself, and hasn't been involved in anything violent in years.
