When Perth County OPP pulled over a pickup truck pulling a horse trailer Saturday night, officers suspected there were people inside the trailer.

They were right – OPP say after the truck was pulled over, the driver opened up the trailer doors and 54 people got out.

According to police, the group was on its way to the Milverton Fairgrounds for the Milverton Rodeo dance.

The driver, a 48-year-old Perth East resident, was fined $110 for the Highway Traffic Act offence of drawing an occupied trailer.
