More than a dozen deserving young people were recognized for their volunteer work Wednesday night.
The City of Kitchener’s Youth Action Council awarded at a special presentation.
The aim was to remind everyone that young people can do great things and make important contributions to the community.
Categories for the awards ranged from entrepreneurship and social action to intergenerational work and leadership.
The winners names have been engraved on a plaque that will be displayed at Kitchener City Hall.
