Woodstock man charged with manslaughter in suspicious death case

A 24-year-old Woodstock man is charged with manslaughter in connection with the case of a man found dead Wednesday afternoon.

Woodstock Police say Flavius Miron was arrested at 3:30 a.m. Thursday – about 12 hours after they were first called to the area of Tecumseh Street.

At the scene, they found a 48-year-old man who emergency crews were unable to revive.

Family members have identified the man as Jerry Klassen.

An obituary posted online says that funeral arrangements will be made through Brock and Visser Funeral Home.

Police say they have yet to determine what caused the man’s death, and continue to investigate – including keeping an active presence on Tecumseh.
