Waterloo Regional Police are looking for a man and vehicle involved in an alleged abduction in Waterloo.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday, police say, a woman was walking on Lexington Road near Davenport Road when a silver minivan pulled up near her.

The driver of the van asked the woman for directions, and allegedly made several sexual comments to her.

After that, police say, he grabbed the woman’s wrist and tried to pull her into her van.

The woman was able to get away unharmed.

Police describe the man as 5’8” to six feet tall, with olive skin, a strong accent, an average or large build and a large stomach.

He was said to have short, balding brown-and-grey hair, a dark-coloured golf shirt and dark blue jeans.

The vehicle involved is described as being a silver minivan with rust over its passenger-side tires.

Anyone with information is asked to call police or Crime Stoppers.
