A trip to Walmart ended in a theft charge for a 50-year-old Guelph woman.
According to police, the woman left the store with approximately $1,200 worth of product hidden under a duvet.
Walmart staff had stopped the woman and asked for a receipt. The woman said her husband had the receipt.
After 25 minutes of waiting with staff, the woman attempted to leave the property, at which point police found her walking through the parking lot.
The woman is scheduled to appear in court in January.
