The Waterloo Oxford Crusaders are the champions in senior boys rugby for the first time since 2004 after beating the Waterloo Collegiate Vikings 19-12 on Thursday afternoon.

The Crusaders rallied in the second half scoring 3 tries to win the WCSSAA title for the 12th time in school history.

Trayton Austen scored the game winning try.  Veteran Matt Fish scored 2 tries in the loss for the Vikings.

Waterloo Collegiate has never won the senior boys rugby title and they lost in the championship game for the 5th year in a row.

The Kitchener Collegiate Raiders and the Bluevale Knights will battle for the WCSSAA girls title on Friday afternoon.
