A man wanted by police found a hiding spot that kept him out of officers’ line of sight – but apparently couldn’t fool a dog.

Brantford Police say they visited a Chatham Street residence on Saturday, looking for a man who had outstanding warrants for his arrest.

Although the man had allegedly been seen in the residence, police were unable to find him.

It was only when police dogs arrived that the man was tracked down – inside a couch in the building.

Police believe the man had cut a hole in the bottom of the couch, then crawled in.

He was taken into custody.
