Victim identified in Rockwood murder

Wellington County OPP say a woman found without vital signs in a Rockwood home has been identified as 44-year-old Xhuljeta Vlashi.
Xhevahir Myftari, 44, also of Rockwood, has been charged with first degree murder in the death.
Vlashi was found unconscious and without vital signs inside a home at 109 Gamble Lane after OPP responded to reports of a family dispute.
Myftari, who was arrested in Peel Region, made a court appearance in Guelph on Wednesday, and is expected to be back before a judge on Sept. 20.
The same day as the court appearance, Vlashi’s purse was reportedly located near a west-end Toronto highrise.
