Police are investigating after four large rolls of copper wire were stolen from a farm south of Cayuga.

Haldimand County OPP say the theft took place sometime between Friday evening and Monday morning, at the Samsung solar farm on Haldimand Road 20.

One or more people allegedly broke into a fenced compound at the solar farm, then made off with the rolls.

Police describe the wire as blue, black and red Synergy A/C Copper Triplex wire.

The estimated value of the stolen wire is between $50,000 and $80,000.
