Wellington County OPP say a truck driver was moving through the village of Hillsburgh at 104 km/h – even though the speed limit in the area is 40 km/h.
It happened around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday on Trafalgar Road, near Queen Street.
Police say the driver of the tractor-trailer has lost his vehicle and driver’s licence for sven days.
Paramjit Singh Ghuman, a 53-year-old Mississauaga man, is charged with racing a motor vehicle under the Highway Traffic Act.
