A medical condition may be to blame for a series of crashes that occurred in Guelph early Thursday morning.

Guelph Police say that the first collisions occurred around 1 a.m., on Rosewood Avenue north of the city’s downtown.

They involved a pickup truck hitting two parked vehicles.

According to police, the driver of the truck then continued on his way, hitting a hydro pole on Willow Road.

Two of the three vehicles were said to have been damaged beyond repair.

Police say the man was taken to hospital and kept under observation for injuries resulting from the collisions, as well as a medical condition that may have precipitated them.

His injuries are not considered life-threatening.
