A truck driver who was seriously injured in a crash Monday on Highway 6 north of Arthur has been upgraded to stable condition.
He was airlifted to a Hamilton hospital with life threatening injuries after his truck veered into a ditch.
Police say he was heading northbound and tried avoid hitting vehicles that had stopped for a school bus that was in the southbound lanes.
Charges are pending against the truck driver.
