A 20-month-old girl from Wellesley was killed Sunday morning when she was hit by a minivan outside a rural home in Grey County.
Emergency crews were called to the scene – on Concession 8A in Grey Highlands, northeast of Flesherton near the community of Eugenia – around 10:15 a.m. Sunday.
According to the OPP, the girl and her family had just been dropped off at the property by the minivan, which was leaving the residence when it hit the toddler.
She was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
Police have identified the girl as Heidi Bauman.
Charges are not expected to be laid against the driver of the van, police say.
